Built for the State Electricity Commission in 1921 as an eleven storey office building, it has also been known in its history as Lyle House.  It was designed by the SEC chief architect and constructed by Hansen & Yuncken in reinforced concrete.

This 26 storey 113 metre building was completed in 1969.  Constructed on part of the site of John Sanderson & Co. woolbroking premises, St. James Building, 111 William Street, a large five storey second empire building which spanned an entire city block.

This 16 storey building on the corner of William and Lonsdale Streets was first constructed in 1968 after the abolition of local county courts and the creation of a central court, it was refurbished inside and out in mid 2010.1
