This fine four storey building with basement was built as the new offices for Hallenstein & Co, a tanners in 1924 to a Tompkins brothers design and built by FE Shillabeer & Sons.  The company purchased the property from Edwards Dunlop & Co in 1923.  The company had traded in Melbourne since the 1860s.12

Built for the State Electricity Commission in 1921 as an eleven storey office building, it has also been known in its history as Lyle House.  It was designed by the SEC chief architect and constructed by Hansen & Yuncken in reinforced concrete.

Carlow House is one of Harry Norris’ more interesting designs from the late 1930s and it was originally constructed as an steel framed 10 storey office building for the Paynes by E A Watts and completed in 1939.1

Neo 200 on Spencer: 200 Spencer Street, Melbourne

Neo 200 on Spencer is an 128 metre, 41 storey 371 apartment residential tower which was completed in 2007. Construction began in 2004 and took almost 3 years.  The architects were Hayball Leonard Stent Pty Ltd.  The building is broken up into ground level retail, 8 level podium/carpark and tower.

This 26 storey 113 metre building was completed in 1969.  Constructed on part of the site of John Sanderson & Co. woolbroking premises, St. James Building, 111 William Street, a large five storey second empire building which spanned an entire city block.
